British Airways to provide free quick onboard wifi via satellite agreement
Passengers flying with the airline can soon use high-speed wifi onboard free of charge after a new agreement involving Elon Musk's satellite provider.
Free plus Quick Internet for All
British Airways revealed that this no-cost, “reliable and lightning-fast” internet service from Starlink becomes offered for customers in economy, premium economy, or premium cabins starting soon.
Expanded Deployment Throughout Several Airlines
The umbrella organization of BA, the airline group, announced it had finalized an partnership with SpaceX to provide internet services across more than 500 planes across its operators, which also include Aer Lingus, Iberia, and Vueling.
Smooth Connectivity from Boarding to Landing
The airline noted that the rollout for this technology formed part of a £7bn “transformation” program and would offer lag-free connectivity coverage to passengers starting at the gate through landing, also when traveling over large bodies of water and far-off locations.

Existing Connectivity Services
Basic connectivity service remains available to BA passengers through the majority of its aircraft using their .air system.
