Goalkeeper

Alphonse Areola (West Ham): His team were close to being trailing by six at Bournemouth if it wasn't for him. Key display, rose to the occasion and demonstrated top ability. Some top goalkeeping to help achieve a 2-2 draw. Losing could have dismantled their whole season.

Backline

Daniel Munoz (Crystal Palace): He's in the running for player of the season. People will talk about Arsenal players. He has been the best performer by far.

Murillo (Nottingham Forest): One would need to be a mad supporter to say 'Murillo nets and we'll beat Liverpool 3-0 at Anfield'. You could have gotten long shots on that. He was excellent. He is emerging as a powerhouse. He proves to be a handful. I'm happy to see him playing as he did previously.

Malick Thiaw (Newcastle): I watched him several occasions earlier in Italy for AC Milan and he was getting killled due to errors. However with the Magpies he's been dominant. He displays immense power and powerful and appears graceful. It looks like he's found a spiritual home.

Ferdi Kadioglu (Brighton): Not naturally a defender, leaning towards a contemporary style going forward. He is a great purchase for Brighton. It's no shock at them discovering another star unexpectedly? I thought after selling Pervis Estupinan it was odd but the Seagulls understand more than us.

Engine room

Sander Berge (Fulham) and Elliot Anderson (Nottingham Forest): Alike in style and they are selected for the same reason. Their sides were victorious, many mention about the goalscorers, but without these two those teams don't click. They excel. They break up play, they attack together.

Eberechi Eze (Arsenal): The man of the moment. Numerous supporters, including my son, had doubts whether he was the man to lead them to success. Three strikes in the local rivalry and now they want to erect a monument of him. Scoring, calmness, he controlled the game. The best player on the pitch.

Morgan Rogers (Aston Villa): Maybe this is point of agreement with Thomas Tuchel on - he has reached a point now where it's going to be quite challenging to drop Morgan Rogers. I didn't think he had a great start the term, I think he was a little bit entitled and hoped he might have got a move to Chelsea, and probably wanted that, but he appears to have adapted well. Two great goals in the Leeds match helped his club from a deficit. He made the impact.

Strikers

Callum Wilson (West Ham): I said he seemed lacking his typical form. It seemed he was slower. But wow. That's all I can say. He performed superbly. Phenomenal in his approach and with his two finishes.

Harvey Barnes (Newcastle): A very notable player. He performs strongly, often more effective off the bench, but Anthony Gordon has an injury so he is required to feature. He failed to convert a great opportunity against Manchester City at 0-0 with his easiest shot. Yet possessing the inner resilience to enter into challenging moments and get a brace was remarkable.

Coach

Sean Dyche (Nottingham Forest): He comes in and beats Arne Slot. A wonderful gameplan. It might have been multiple goals for Forest and all would agree.
